WTF???!!!! - 217.6

Folks, I was REALLY good this week.  A couple of minor departures from my food plan, but nothing that sticks out as heinous.  I only had one glass of wine all week.  I exercised several times.  And, I didn't lose weight at all.  In fact, I gained 0.2 lbs.  What the heck?  I've been noodling on the reasons and here are the only things I can come up with: 1) My body sucks and refuses to let go of weight unless I do extreme dieting. (which I don't think is healthy either) 2) I've got some weird stuff going on with my monthly and maybe I'm retaining water. 3) I had a couple of days where I added a half a dozen extra nuts to something, and/or went a little over portion size guidelines.  I also had one day when I ate some cheese & crackers for my nighttime snack that went over my 100-calorie rule.  These shouldn't be crazy issues, but I apparently can't cut myself any slack on this deal - must follow all rules strictly. 4) Maybe I'm not exe...

Up, then down: 217.4

Last week, I didn't blog because I was pretty depressed about having gone up to 218.7 lbs.  I had gone out with friends too much and had too many high-calorie margaritas.  I decided to keep myself to drinking only 2x per week and wine only, no more margaritas.  I also decided no more carbs at mealtime, only fruit, my nightly treat and a little wine. This week, I was very good and faithful to my food plan, so only losing a little over a pound feels like a very small victory, not as good as it should be.  I think I just need to keep it up - get another full week of  being true to my food plan, and see how it goes.

Getting back to good - 216.8

OK, whew, I was really worried about what was going on after last week.  But, I was on plan for the most part, with a little slip up on Friday night (had too much popcorn after drinking).

Womp-womp 218.4

Dammit business trips kill me.  I feel entitled to treats, it's hard to find healthy options, and - more importantly - drinking kills my judgment.  This was my weight last Tuesday, after a business trip and a 4th of July party.  Oddly, at the party, I ate decently.  But the business trip caused me to gain 3 lbs.  For example, at dinner, I chose the lobster roll & fries instead of the lobster salad, because I was in Boston and that's what you eat there.  I need to find a way to consider business trips just like any other time.
